My goal with this game is to give the pc community the entire game that the console guys get plus all the cool pc stuff that we as pc gamers need to have to make it feel like a pc title. Most of these new features in this game are predicated on having trusted servers, we are having a trusted server system as a matter of fact we are partnering with gameservers.com to be the exclusive provider for all of the Black Ops dedicated servers. These guys are big, they’re great and we’ve been working with them since world of war, they're going really big with this title, we're going to know on day one that there’s going to be a huge number of official servers for everyone to play on. Hier is een methode om altijd automatisch een backup van je stats te maken voordat het spel start. Ga naar de installatie map van je steam en maak daarin een nieuw tekstbestand aan. Open deze en copy+paste de volgende regels in het tekstbestand:

xcopy userdata StatsBackup\userdata /e /i /k /y
xcopy SteamApps\common\callof~1\players StatsBackup\SteamApps\common\callof~1\players /e /i /k /y
start steam.exe -applaunch 10190

Sla alles op en sluit het bestand. Nu moet je het hernoemen naar een .bat bestand, bijv. statsbackup.bat. Hiervoor moet de optie om bekende bestands-extensies te verbergen in windows wel uit staan want anders wordt het een .bat.txt bestand. Maak vervolgens een snelkoppeling naar het .bat bestand op je desktop of waar je hem ook hebben wil. Als je deze snelkoppeling start worden eerst je huidige stats opgeslagen in de map 'StatsBackup' in je Steam map en vervolgens start je spel op. Om de backup terug te zetten hoef je alleen de 2 mappen (userdata en SteamApps) die in de map 'StatsBackup' staan te kopieëren naar de steam hoofdmap. Daarna moet je nog ff een game joinen om de backup weer permanent te maken.

Als je wil kun je aan je nieuwe snelkoppeling ook een pictogram toevoegen door er met je rechtermuisknop op te klikken en dan eigenschappen te selecteren.
